    September 23, 2019 by

23/09/2019 It’s officially been just over a week since I moved to Oxford to start my MA in Publishing Media and though I did have an initial ‘what have I done’ moment when moving in, so far it’s been lovely. I’m in halls at the Clive Booth Postgraduate Centre, with its own duck pond. (Pictured… Read more

About Me

Hello!

My name is Rebecca, and I’m a book blogger, bookstagrammer, and publishing industry hopeful about to start my MA in Publishing at Oxford Brookes University!

I mostly write about:

  • Books – I mainly read YA literature, science fiction, fantasy, graphic novels, contemporary literature and occasionally classics. My main weaknesses are: LGBTQA+ representation, witches, space, space witches, ensemble cast, misfits, morally grey characters, magic, dragons, happy & fluffy contemporary gays, urban magic, and anything where there’s a cute dog that doesn’t die.
  • Publishing – I found it immensely helpful to hear about other people’s journeys into publishing as a career, and I aim to document my experiences throughout my course and career.

To give you an idea of my tastes, some of my auto-buy authors are:

Alice Oseman — Becky Chambers — Ben Aaronovitch — Cassandra Clare — Garth Nix — Lauren James — Laura Steven — Leigh Bardugo — Mackenzie Lee — Maggie Stiefvater — Nina LaCour — Patrick Ness — Philip Pullman — Samantha Shannon — V. E. Schwab
