This week the prompt for Top Ten Tuesday from the Broke and the Bookish was either ‘Top Ten Historical Settings You Love/ Ten Historical Settings You’d Love To See or Top Futuristic Books You Love/Ten Futuristic Societies I’d Love To Read in Books’. I kind of cheated on this one and made up my own. As you’ve probably guessed I am a sucker for detailed, imaginative, well-planned world building. I cannot get enough. Here are my Top Ten Ultimate Book Worlds (in no particular order).
(PS. Not all of these books are suitable for children, and this post contains a swear word!)

Harry Potter
(I’m a Ravenclaw)
2. His Dark Materials
NEED THIS EDITION. SO BADLY.
3. The Old Kingdom Series
If you didn’t see this coming you’ve clearly not been paying attention.
4. Graceling
5. Perdido Street Station/The Bas-Lag Novels
6. The Mortal Instruments
7. The Windup Girl
8. The Gentleman Bastard Series
9. Discworld
I’m not even sure that’s all of them?
10. The Peter Grant Series
Have you read any of these? Ramble with me in the comments section! Are there any more you’d recommend? Let me know!
The Harry Potter world does seems like a good world to live in. It’s probably even better now that Voldemort is DEAD!!!
